Columbus, Ohio – A tragic shooting on the city’s south side left three individuals dead on Saturday afternoon, according to a dispatcher from Columbus’ public safety department.
The shooting occurred in the 1300 block of South Ohio Avenue, near Karns Park and just off Thurman Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene at approximately 3:50 p.m. following a report of gunfire.
Three individuals were found at the scene and were pronounced dead by 4:00 p.m.
Details regarding the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear. Authorities have not yet released information about a potential suspect or motive.
The area near Karns Park is now the focus of an active investigation. Police are working to gather evidence and encourage anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
